This is our 3rd year here in the foothills of the mountains... The 1st year was a new adventure but last year it was very hard for me to get into the Holiday mood...because I so missed my grandkiddos.
I decided to Not let myself miss out this year and pulled out all my Christmas decorations...
and quickly got to work...
I put on my silly snowman sweatshirt, turned on some music to groove too and before I knew it... tada! All Done!
 silly sweatshirt...
 quilt hung...
 music playing.....
 wool felties out...
 stacks and stacks of 'stuff'...
 wreaths need to be hung...
need to pull down the mini trees...
even have my Holiday apron ready for baking...
 snowman collection....
 Winter fun....
 my red tree....
 wooden deer ...
 more fun.....
Old World Santa...
 my Western Santa...
My rustic Nativity...
and this is my fun decorations in the family room....
I have a small collection of 'AnnaLee' dolls .. the Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus are from the 1960's...

Today was a 'lazy day',, so I took advantage of it and quilted up another little lap quilt for our local "Covers of Love" group...
this photo is w/o a flash so you can see the top stitching...

this is with a flash,,, but then some of the lighter colors paled from the flash. oh well!
Now to get back to work on some of my neglected sewing UFO's... heeheehee!

Yippeeee!  I love November.... why you ask???, well let me tell you...
Trader Joes Market starts displaying their fall food fest!!!! and Holiday foods...
Some of my favorite things,,,
I bought 3 of the chocolate Advent Calendars, one for each of my grand-kiddos... and for me,,, a box of Brandy Beans,,, Oh YUM!!!
T.J, only carries their 'pumpkin pie' spice during the Autumn months... so I buy them  enough to get me through the summer,,, and it goes with out saying, Ditto on the Pumpkin Spice Bread and Scones...As for the Cedar multi-purpose cleaner,,, that is a staple in our house,,, I love using it and have been using it for well over 10 years...
Ok, time to open that box of Brandy Beans and enjoy!
Happy November....

Lazy Day Project,,,,

4 comments:
Today was one of those lazy dazes... you know the type,,, no pending projects, just a tad to cool to work outside and the sun is behind the clouds..
So while Hubby was tinkering on the truck I pulled out my Wool/felt craft sewing basket...
Several hours later,,, Voila! a sweet 'stacking dolls' candle cozy...
pieces cut , assembled and starting to sew....
 almost finished...
trimmed, decorated with itty bitty yo-yo flowers and tiny buttons.....
TaDa!  ready to send to a very special friend...
My dear friend is of Russian/German heritage. Her family came to America via Canada back at the turn of the century...and they are 1 of the 3 first original families to settle in the West Plains area of Spokane, known today as Airway Heights.
Some of the wool fabric is from some of my old wool clothing.. so I'll be a part of her family.
