Gardening vs Sewing...

Gardening vs Sewing... hmmm, which shall I do?

 

 can ya guess??? First, I stitched up this cute lil Kitty Love design...

 Then I stitched up this Soccer motif for my friend in Germany...

 A cute lil red tractor and then...

this fun design,,, I stitched on to a T-shirt that I had bought from the Dollar Tree store... for.. a $1

Can't go wrong with that,, and worse case,, I am not pleased with the design or my embroidery machine hiccups.. I am only out a $1....

 

Sewing Daze.....

I was able to slow down and get some sewing time in... Yippee!!!

 I made the smaller of the 2, last week,,, it is 2" sq... and the larger one I made yesterday, and it is approx. 4"sq...

 I made another Jean pocket holder...  perfect for holding dried flowers or even a lavender sachet.

 I made  this apron yesterday and it will be headed to Florida in a few days to a lovely lady.

 I even embroidered her name on the pocket....

 A friend sent me this apron pattern,,, so I dug through my stash of fabric and did a wee bit of modification to the pattern...

 I LUV it! and it fits perfect...

I embellished the pocket with a flamingo.. and though you can't see them,, I stitched on a YoYo at the side by each apron tie..

 

 

I forgot to post a photo of the Dirndle that my childhood  best friend gave me...

It is so sweet... I do need to iron it,,  and most likely I will wear it on Thanksgiving....

Well, I wonder if I will get to play in my sewing room tomorrow... fingers crossed that I will!

Look What was Waiting for me at the P.O.

OMGeepers! look what was waiting for me at the post office..

 a package stuffed to the gills....

 2 sets of flamingo sheets,,, assorted cute flamingo ornaments, trinkets and earrings...

 a sweet flamingo mug...

 banner, tea, candle holder, sippy cup...

 and a super cute hand painted f''mingo martini glass...

I even managed to remove the f''mingo post card off the package...

 

All these flamingo goodies came to me by Karla,,, from our Maryjane Farm forum...

She knows my Aristocrat trailer is decorated  in flamingo and trailer cuteness. So she gathered up all these cute goodies and sent them my way..

And... she wrapped each and every item in pink tissue paper,,, I don't think there is a single sheet of pink tissue paper left in Florida! lol!

 

What a great surprise,, and Yes, I was ... tickled pink!

Up to Speed...

OK,,, so to catch up to speed...today,, here is a quick run down..

 

House guests arrived,,

Toured them around

Got minimal sleep

They flew back home

We cleaned up the house

Took off in the motorhome for a week of relaxing camping...

 

Unfortunatly I did not take hardly any photos.... to busy driving, cooking or interpreting...

 

 

Now I am back on track,

I got my small lavender garden weeded, and will probably prune my Iris & Glads this week...

 

I did manage to get some sewing and crafting time in.. much needed...

Oh, and did I mention I bought the complete series (6 seasons) of Donwton Abby on DVD?  Yep! gonna do some serious binge watching! haha!

I just realized, the few photos I did take from our friends visit, are on my cell phone,, so I need to send them over to my computer,, another day..

I found one on facebook,, so here it is..

Gary showed them how to drive the Quad,, and they had a blast!

MIA for several weeks...

I have been MIA for several weeks now,, was trying to get the house ready our incoming house guests.. yep, my childhood BFF is coming to visit for 3 weeks.. She , her hubby and a granddaughter are flying over from Germany to visit..

My hubby and I are the supreme Tour Guide and activity director!

So hopefully I will have some fun pics to post in a couple of weeks.
