Old Sewing Basket.....

No comments:
I carry sewing projects in my blue floral tote when traveleing.... and while up in Oakhurst, junktiquing I found this lovely mid-century JC Pennys  sewing basket....
Oh be still my heart.... it was full of goodies, lots of unfinished hand stitchery projects but best of all,,, the little "Sun Bonnet Sue" felt needle holder.
 'Sew' cute....
lift her skirt and there are the sewing needles... how cute is this and easy to make!

Coarsegold Peddler's Faire.. 2013

I had way to much fun at the Peddler's Faire in Coarsegold, Calif... My first find was a Bling Ring...
and then all these sweet little vtg. linens and yet another apron... because you can never have enough aprons!

Then I came across these 'orphaned' earrings,, and you know me,,, I can't resist vtg. jewelery!
As soon as we get the house into Escrow... and get our household furnishing shipped down here I can start playing in my (new) craft room again!

August in Oakhurst...

"Trailer Slugs"... doesn't every Glamper have some?  snork, giggle!!!!
Ray, Pam, me and Gary at the 'Tenaya Lodge' up in Yosemite...
Tenaya Lodge has this great Lounge....   just sayin'.....
Gary, Pam and Ray... it seems like we went into 'Music' overload this week, first a fund raiser concert and then dinner and a sing-a-long on the Sugar Pine Rail Road...  fun fun fun and tons of food!
While over in the Von's parking lot (in Oakhurst) I spotted this tour bus.. it was one of three buses. So needless to say I just had to go see...and as it turns out, it was a German tour group... I had a delightful time chatting with the tour guide about Germany... This is a 'Sleeper' bus.... and as you can see it has 27 sleeping births.
So on Thursday's they have a 'Farmers Market' up here in Oakhurst.... I met the most delightful lady who had a Lavender booth.  I bought some of her killer Lavender Truffles,,, OMG! Luv 'em!
Then the following day, Gary and I took a drive down to Coarsegold for lunch. While Gary was reading a magazine I dashed into a cute 'gift' shop and lo and behold,,, look what I found,,, Lavender Jelly!!! I have used Lavender in many recipes as well as for tea, but as of yet, I have not tried my hand at making Lavender jelly... but it's going on my 'To-Do' list....
Oh and the cute little 'sheep'... that is a magnet made from 'fimo' clay and a bottle cap...and yes, it is now on the fridge in the trailer... just when Gary thought he had control of me and my fridge magnet collection... lol!

Well it's been an interesting week... still no luck on finding a home,,, well actually we have put in 2 offers and both sellers, after going back and forth,,, decided not to sell and pulled their homes off the market! So we went back to a previous house that we were interested in and go figure, they had just accepted an offer 3 days ago,, but we went ahead and wrote a back-up offer...so I guess we'll see in 7 more days what happens...  In the mean time,,, the search continues.....  Stay tuned! lol!
Don't forget to take a peek in my other blog (click on the lil trailer icon)...
Happy Trails...
