Channeling My Inner....

I was Channeling my inner Martha, Betty and Sara, today...

Martha Stewart, Betty Crocker and Sara Lee ... yep,,, I Baked today!
Well actually it all started with a trip to Target for a birthday gift for my sweet little grandkiddo...
I spotted a "Cake pop" baking machine... and I thought why not?  After all, they do make for cute little snacks as well as 'party favors' ( I was in a wedding recently and each guest had a cutely decorated cake pop at their place setting.) and have you seen what Starbucks charges for them?

Now, mind you, I am not a big fan of cooking or baking unless I am nearly starving or craving something, or hubby refuses to take me out for dinner... lol!

So needless to say, today was the day to test out my 'cake pop' thingamachinie...
This cute little cake pop/donut hole maker is by "Bella" and can be purchased at Target. It's easy to use and clean up.
Now, here is where I come in... I didn't want to open a box of cake mix and make a gazillion cake pops... so I used my "3-2-1- Cake" mix instead...
(I keep stored in a plastic seal container a dry mix consisting of 1 box of cake mix, any flavor,  and 1 box of (add water only type) Angel Food cake mix. I mix the two together and keep stored in the container.. Then when I need a sweet treat for my afternoon tea or for late night snack attacks, I just spritz a coffee mug with PAM, (spray oil) and then mix 3tablespoons of the dry mix with 2 tablespoons of water, stir and then microwave for 1 minute... Easy Peasy, 3-2-1 cake...
So....
I stirred 6tblsp of mix with 2tblsp of water, sprayed some 'PAM' into the cake pop wells, dropped by spoon some 'batter' into the pop wells and closed the lid and let them bake for 5minutes...
Now the little 'pops' did not rise like a normal cake would so I had to go to plan B... and glue 2 halves together...
I let them cool by the open window.... I am sure grandma would be proud of me...
I made the 'glue' from some 'Andes' chocomint chip bits... I just slightly melted some mints and then I slathered the melted chocomint between two half cake pops...
and yes I licked the knife and the bowl after I was finished 'glueing'.. I could not let good chocomint go to waste!
I let the glued together cake pops harden and then I frosted the cake pops...
and what's a cake pop with out sprinkles! lol!
I decided I needed to sample one before I share with my hubby dearest...
Yep,,, it's Tea time for this Baking Diva....

Now I can just hear you all thinking,,, why didn't I just open the box of cake mix and bake whole cake pops, it would have been faster and easier... but then I would not have had as much fun!. lol!
