Oh Deer....

Oh Deer....
today's "Rats with Antlers" count was 7.... yep, they stopped off at the trouf, and then they worked their way around to the back side of our property...

you can only see 5 here, the other two were to the left, out of camera view... these are White Tail deer... and are coming down off the hills in search of sweet grass.... and we have 5 acres of sweet grass sprouting... I think if they had thumbs, we'd get 2 thumbs up! lol!

Tea with Soleil

Today was special 'Tea Time'  with Oma and my sweet little Soleil....

Today was our special time,,,  we sipped tea, we ate fun stuff(don't tell mommy), we stamped, we read, we chased the kitties and we snuggled... it was a great day..... and now I need a nap! lol!

Snow Day...

Here we go again!

 The birds & I awoke to a light dusting of snow.... so what do you do when it's a day like this?

Why you go shopping!  lol! So that is exactly what my daughter, the kiddos and I did.

Lookie  lookie...Woohooo,,, I scored! I found all these sweet hankies in a baggie... I love the Montana souvenir one and there are 2 Flocked hankies too!...

 In the baggie of hankies I found this littler item... I wonder if it was a slender tissue box cover. It is made from a Dotted Swiss Chiffon fabric and has dainty lace and flowers by the opening.

Now for the 'Happy Dance'.... look what my mommy sent me... She spotted this rose embellished afghan.. and knew it would look uber sweet in my lil Scotty trailer... and it will!

Another Day on the Ranchette...

Well lookie lookie... I finished up #6 of my 7 stitchery(s).... just one left to go...

 I will applique all "7 days of the week" onto a quilt top... now to shop for the perfect quilt backing fabric...

 I spotted this in the Thrift,,, and could not resist... it is called "Chicken ala Bling" (hand written & signed by the artist) by Maria Ryan, who is a contemporary wildlife artist.
It's hard to see in this photo, but the crown and stripe with jewels have glitter on them.. and it is also signed on the back by the artist....
This print has the original wrap and appears to not have been removed from the wrapping since it was put in. I just love the silliness of this and the play on words... Perfect for this ol' Hen!  lol! 

Then I scored this awesome jacket,,,, it is by KOMITOR...  it has the look and feel of a wool blanket... it said to dry clean only,,, but,,, typical me,,, I ignore the rules! lol! and so I put it into the wash machine on delicate,,, and I did a vinegar rinse.... well,,, it came out wonderful!  I am letting it hang dry,,, then once it is totally dry I will toss it into the dryer for 5-8min to fluff it up... I can hardly wait to wear it!
