A Necklace for My Mother.

6 comments:
This is my most current creation...
using an old watch,,,, and removing the face and works....
I inserted a small piece of Rosenthal china....
to create this necklace for my mother.

About 10 years ago she gave me her favorite Rosenthal china that she acquired in Germany in 1966.
Accidentally one of my kitties knocked several pieces off the display shelf in my hutch...
I used the broken pieces and mosaic a wooden photo frame with the pieces,,, but still had a few pieces left over and have been saving them for just the right project.
Now I will be able to re-share the china with mom...
Happy Mother's Day Mom.

I so luv cashmere anything! lol!
and I have been making fun cashmere scarves as gifts for friends,,, but when I looked at this mans damaged sweater,,, I could not resist,,, making a cardigan out of it for me...
sorry the photos are so dark... but...
I cut the damaged hem waist band off
then cut up the middle of the front

now to crochet the raw edges...  I will post a photo here as soon as it is done.

I have not fallen off the face of the planet... just up to my eyeballs in 'Stuff'...
Here are some pics,,, I will let you figure it out...
 before....
 during....
almost done...
soon to be,,, Burlap and Lace by Grace....
I will be opening a little cottage shop in the Historic Village of Coarsegold,,, for the next 9 months,,, to test the waters...
It will be a eclectic  mix of vintage, modern, western, recycled and re-purposed items...
There are about 18 of us in little shops,, and the vendors are all so wonderful....
I am trying to get the shop opened by mid March,,, but I had to make a trip down south,,, and then the rains (and we are getting more this weekend) delayed the painting... but soon it will be open...and hopefully I will turn a profit..
I will post more as I get closer to opening date.
Wish me luck!
