Sunshine and Happiness....

Thank goodness we are finally getting some nice and warm weather...

 I am starting to get excited to work out in my small garden area...and to do some more crafting...
I made this little frame, with a photo of mom, sis and myself from 1963... I mailed it out to mom, for Mother's Day..

 Oh what a sweet surprise,, this lovely mug was sent to me from a friend in Texas...

She knows I am addicted to Flamingos! Thank goodness there is no '12-step' program to cure my Flamingo addiction! lol!

and,,, I also received these sweet gifts from another friend,,, boy-o-boy, talk about being pampered,,,

Aiden turns 8...

Well our little grandson just turned 8,, oh my stars! where does the time go?

We took him and his sisters to the campground for an afternoon of food, fun and more food...

 We fed them lunch...

 let them play in the bumper boat pond,

 until they were (almost) exhausted...

 then over to the pool, where Opa (Gary) played Mr Lifeguard..

 then back over to have some cake and ice cream..

 oh yea, and to open a gift... (good old fashioned Lincoln Logs, and yes, made from real wood!)

Just Puttering..

I have been puttering and keeping busy..

 I finished this table topper......

 and wahoo! we had this part of the driveway re-graded and re-graveled. We plan to finish the other side by the end of the summer. why you ask,, Well just this section cost $997.00, that's why.. 

 I am thinking I will make a wall hanger by using this burlap & lacxe and some cute blingy jean pockets. Perfect for using to hold hair clips, brushes, and what nots...

 

I also made another blingy jean pocket mini purse... also perfect as a cell phone tote...

 

We have been pretty busy cleaning up the property , pruning trees, transplanting bulbs, etc..

I am also getting ready for my childhood best friend's  visit.

She, her husband and grand daughter will be coming from Germany, for a 2 week visit... I can hardly wait,, it has been 12 years since they last visited us.. and it's been 5 years since I was last there in Germany visiting them.. thank goodness for phones and emails and  texting..

 

 

It Must Be Spring...

It must be Spring,,, because look who just popped out...

yep, no shadow,, just a silly grin...

 

Then I looked around and noticed all my little Zwergs were out working in my lavender garden..

 swinging in the tree,

 and being silly,

 except for grump guss...

 Even the Daffys are happy...

 Soon I will be sitting out here with a glass of Iced Tea and reading a Garden magazine...

 

But until then,, I will continue to do some more sewing...

More YoYo fun and more....

I had fun crafting a Spring Tree with yoyos on a candle stick holder...

 It keeps my yoyo bunny company...

 Hmm, how fun would it be to make these for each holiday....

 I also finished my 'Tumbling Blocks' table topper...

 now all I need to do is iron it .....

BTW, our Kiki kitty likes the yoyo tree....
