December FaLaLaLa....

3 comments:
I love traditional Christmas decor and fabrics,,, but I am also very eclectic and love silly Holiday fabrics, as you can see. This apron certainly is opposite the traditional Christmas Red & Green.
I could not resist the whimsical retro scene and these colors just pop!
Orange just might be the new Red! lol!
I made this fun little "Dinner Style" apron for a friend of mine who is not afraid of color and is herself quite a colorful character.
But as you can see, my little 'Peekaboo' kitty is having separation issues...she doesn't want me to take 'her' apron away, sorry Peekie, I will make you another one!
I am in 2 apron swaps this Holiday Season, and here is the first apron I have received,,,
I have this same pattern and love it....it makes for a fast fun apron and the designs and details are endless.(below)
Thank you so very much dear Sue for my cutie of a sweet apron.
I have a vintage washboard hanging on the wall in my kitchen where I seasonally change out my aprons, so right now I have all of my Holiday themed aprons hanging,,,
I probably spend more time trying to decide which apron to don then I do preparing our dinner out of the box! lol!
My kitchen motto: "I've been slavin' over microwavin'. " lol!
Thank you again Sue for my cute lil apron, I love the whimsical gift box print, oh & I was going to save the chocolate for a rainy day....it's raining! lolol!
Merry Christmas to all......

Lots of Crochet Lace....

No comments:
I received a box full of crochet work & vintage hankies from my mommy...
Thank you mommy...
I spent the afternoon gently hand washing them, and stretching them out to dry.
I placed one under my little table Christmas tree..... It is worked in the Pineapple motif,,,symbolic of "Welcome".
The rest are now waiting to be tucked away with some lavender to keep them sweet smelling and bug free.
So,,,one of my projects to do today,,,,was to make 130 little Santa Stocking~ Candy Cane holders.... while working I spotted a scrap piece of fabric, so I cut it into a circle to stitch into a yoyo...I had set the circle aside next to some lavender buds...when I had one of those "Ah Ha! moments..
Why not fill the yoyo with a few buds of lavender..... Ta Da! Lavender scented yoyos!
I think I will have to make a bunch of these Lavender budded yoyos!
Hmmm, I can just see it now, a sweet lavender scented yoyo lap quilt...ah, another project!

Don't Litter!

Why aren't there more of these????
I wish more communities would be bold enough to have mobile (low-cost)Spay & Neuter clinics...
In Spokane in the nucleus of the community there is a large segment of the populous that has to depend on the Transit District to get around town, to & from work, school, shopping, medical clinic etc....so having a mobile unit just might put a dent in the un-wanted & over population of pets....at least one could only hope.
We toss so much money out for "Beautification" of City streets, froo froo signs & flower beds along the road ways and the likes but very little goes where it is needed,,, poverty, pets, elderly, children and other Social issues. Ok, I will step off & put my "soap box" away.....
But I do love the phrase, "Don't Litter" on the side of the bus.
