Should be Cleaning,,, buttt....

I should be cleaning off my sewing table,,, but once again, got side tracked... and whipped up this..

  lil mini apron,,, from some left over pieces of fabric....

sketched up the idea,,, cut, sewed and Voila'  a lil mini to go out into my Serro Scotty trailer.

I love quick projects,,, but I really should get back to my sewing room and clean up!!!

Hmmm,, maybe tomorrow!!! lol!

Busy Busy...

Even with 2 meetings and doing taxes this week,, I was still able to get 7 quilt tops (lap quilts 42x42) stitched up,,, (still need to put the backing on...another day's project),,, I also stitched up a bunch more mini aprons and a wine bottle apron and last but not least I crocheted a rag rug...

Tonight,,, I will chillaxe and enjoy a lovely glass of wine....

These lap quilts are for 'Covers of Love' a group that I belong to, we quilt/crochet quilts and afghans for the VA shut-ins as well as children who are removed from unsafe situations by Child Protective Services... and also small blankets and beanie caps go to the Neo-natal unit at the local Hospital...

I love knowing that a little bit of 'me' is going to someone in need.....

 

Vintage Train Cases...

Well, I may still not be able to go Glamping... but I can certainly dream,,, and putter through my sweet Vtg. train cases that I use when I go glamping...

I have 4 more out in the storage closet in the garage,,, un-decorated... and one is sort of a lime/chartruse green... which I am rather smitten with and will keep it just as it is...
One of these days I will do a 'western' themed on,,, or maybe a Roy & Dale themed one...
I would love to do one with fun MCM (mid-century-modern) deco... ahhh,,, what shall I do???

 

More Fun Day Projects...

I took the time to make a re-purposed Jeans purse...

I spotted one (blue & pink) at the Thrift down in Palm Springs,, $1.99,,, can't beat the price... but,,, I have 2 grand~girlies so I needed a 2nd one,,, what to do? but a pair of girlie jeans and make one...

 I had some cute kitty themed fabric that I used for the lining and tie/sash...

 as for the handles,, scheeezh,,, they have been in my sewing~stash for ever...

and since we call our one grand~girlie, Ladybug,,, this button is perfect!

 

I also have been busy in some 'mini apron swaps,,, so I have several fun ideas for future swaps,,, but in the mean time I made these for kicks-n-giggles!

 the colors are more brite,,, but either my camera,,, or I,, are not good! lol!

Now to get back to working on some lap quilts for the VA Hospital... see ya later...

I have lived in the City,,, Suburbs, farm country and mountains (where I currently live)...

I luv the view,,,

Gotta love not living in the city...
