My Sewing room is where I hide when it's cold Outside!

No comments:
Yeppers! I spend a lot more time in my sewing room when it is cold outside...
I was playing around with fusible webbing to attach fabric to glitter felt and I also used a glue stick to glue some fabric to card stock..
I spotted this idea on a YouTube video... the one on the video was of 4 pumpkins,, I just tested the pattern with 2 pumpkins. Oh,, and yes I need to re-iron it.. that will be tomorrow's project! Heehee!
I cut a bunch of small strips and made a table topper. I have so many,, but I enjoy making them.
Then I made a 44x64" quilt out of the green Maryjane fabric by Moda...
Now to iron it and then hit the fabric store to find the perfect backing and batting.. I already cut the strips for the binding....
Oh, and here are my "Testers" to give me their approval...
Ginger really likes it and can hardly wait for it to be finished!!!

Yep,,, Happy Snowtember... the 1st snow in September since 1926..

I thought the weather peeps were kidding when they said we might get a bit of snow,, a bit?? day 2 and it's still dropping big fluffy snow flaks!

It started early yesterday morning,, and kept coming .. woke up this morning to a blanket of white.. and now here it is, mid day and it's snowing..
I am thinking a need some hot Tea or.. better yet, Irish Coffee!
 Saturday morning...
 and afternoon...
 and night....
Then on Sunday I woke to this...
 White Fall wonderland...
 my poor roses...

I cut a hand full, shake off the snow and brought them indoor..

I just didn't believe the weather peeps that it might snow,, that will teach me!
Happy Snowtember!

Snow is just around the corner...

Well the Weather Peeps say that snow could be here as soon as next week.. WHAT??? NO!!!
I am not ready yet.

I see a lot of crafting projects and maybe even finish up a few old ones in my future!

In the mean time,, I finished up the trailer pillow and repurposed cashmere sweater pillow..
I also stitched up a little table runner for my camp trailer..
deco pillows, the cashmere one is for the motorhome and the Holiday one is for the living room.
I just need to do some top stitching and then this little table runner will go into the Aristocrat trailer...
I also managed to find a couple of Homeless aprons at the local Thrift,, so they now live happily in my home..
and last but not least,,, my sewing room(and chair hog) buddy...
Kiki can sleep anywhere... and even the sound of my sewing machine does not disturb her!

 Sweet Dreams, Kiki...

Rainy Day What to Do'...

No comments:
Rainy day,, what shall I do???
Shortly after a lovely phone chat with a dear friend over in Pennsylvania,,. it started raining here like a mini monsoon...

So now I guess since I can't go outside and putter.. I will have to keep myself busy in my craft room...
I am thinking of re-purposing this 'holy' cashmere sweater into a deco pillow for the motorhome....
The pillow form is 14x14 and the sweater will fit perfect ....

I recently finished up  a project with some fabric I had purchased at Walmart...
and yes,, wine is fine when crafting! lololol!
a 12x12" Holiday pillow... I was going to embellish it,, but after looking at it, I decided to keep it simple...

Oh and I scored these 2 spools (never been used..) of cotton yarn at the Thrift for just $3 each..
I will be crocheting a Gazillion dish rags this winter!
Hmmm,,, maybe I will crochet one tonight and work on the pillow tomorrow...
Well that's what I will be doing to stay out of trouble...

Well a few more thing to keep me out of trouble...
The fun Flamingo apron is now in the trailer...
So I made another simple Chef apron in a fun print....
and a maple leaf quilt block (still needs to be ironed) as well as a glass trivet done with a remnant piece of flamingo fabric... Also 3 lace tree ornaments and another yoyo flower.

Now what shall I do?
